"Scotland, Scotland... Jason Scotland" by The Trinidad And Tobago Tartan Army

Yes, yes, we know Scotland didn't actually qualify to play in Germany, but that didn't stop The Scottish Sun's Martel Maxwell asking readers to enter a competition to pen a World Cup song for Scotland.

Nor did it stop hundreds of readers entering the Scottish Sun's 'Song For Scotland' competition!

Richard Melvin, 31, came up with an anthem that the people of Scotland (and also Trinidad and Tobago!) can get behind - called 'Scotland, Scotland... Jason Scotland'. Richard decided to enter the Scottish Sun's competition after originally penning the song for a Scottish Quest e-mail campaign

The belting track is a tribute to the St Johnstone star who will play for Trinidad and Tobago in England's World Cup group. Former Dundee Utd player Jason loves the song and told The Scottish Sun "I'm so flattered - now I'd better score against England too!"

Richard's dream came true when he was taken into the studio by one of the UK's top producers and owner of Glasgow's new state of the art Mixing Rooms, John McGlaughlin. John, 40, was behind Sandi Thom's hit 'I Wish I Was A Punk Rocker' and is therefore no stranger to the power of the internet in producing a hit song, and EmuBands were delighted to offer their services in helping another Scottish success. Helping out with the release of the CD Single are Paisley based record label, Mad As Toast.

In the run up to the track's release on June 5th it has been played around the country - on ITV1's Soccer Aid, the Channel 4 News, BBC Radio Five Live, Virgin Radio, Real Radio Scotland, XFM Scotland, Clyde 1 and 2, Forth One and Tay FM - to name a few!
