We are delighted to announce that we will be supporting a new series of music industry events called Off The Record. The events are aimed at 14 to 25 year olds who are looking to start a career in the music industry.
The events will include workshops, seminars and advice sessions, with contributions from experts from various areas of the music industry. The series of events will help to demystify the music business and provide the starting knowledge to take the next step in your career.
EmuBands’ Managing Director, Ally Gray, said “We’re delighted to be supporting Off The Record, it’s great to be involved in an event that will help aspiring musicians achieve their ambitions”.
The events will be hosted by Born To Be Wide, the organisers of Scotland’s music business convention Wide Days, with support from Youth Music Initiative (a Scottish Government programme administered by Creative Scotland), as well as EmuBands.
Off The Record will visit five locations across Central Scotland in the next nine months. The first event will take place in Musselburgh on the 5th October in partnership with East Lothian’s Youth Music Forum.
