Let’s Be The Change

‘Let’s Be The Change’ is an initiative to promote, inspire and support women in music.

The movement aims to collate a list of women in the industry who are happy to speak at events, or have never spoken at events and want to start with the help of some coaching and mentorship. They want to collate this list so that conferences from all over the world can find female speakers for their events.

The catalyst for this movement was an article called ‘The Challenge Of Organising A Gender-Balanced Conference In The Music Industry’ written by Lara Baker, you can read the article here.

As well as efforts to achieve greater gender diversity, Let’s Be The Change are also running an ethnic diversity initiative to promote wider equality within the music industry.

If you would like to submit your details for either the ‘Women in Music’ list or the ‘Ethnic Diversity’ list you can find more details and links to the submission forms here.
