EmuBands to Participate in several panels at Fira B!

On Wednesday, November 6, at the Teatre Mar i Terra in Palma de Mallorca, EmuBands, represented by Head of Marketing Toni Malyn, will appear on the panel “Physical and Digital Distribution of Classical Music” at the Fira B! professional congress. This session will bring together industry experts to explore the challenges and opportunities in classical music distribution in the 21st century.

The event will feature prominent figures in the industry, including Jamie Gilmour from RightsBridge, Pierre Lamy from Qobuz, Tzairí Santos from record label Out Here, and Tom Rozadowski from Pias Integral, moderated by Pedro Maestre. In an open and enriching conversation, panelists will share their experiences on how the distribution chain—from creation to promotion—affects the development of artistic careers in the digital age.

As digital transformation reshapes the classical music industry, this panel will address key topics on the complexities and opportunities of distribution in physical and digital environments. Representing EmuBands, a digital distributor dedicated to helping independent artists access streaming platforms and online stores, Toni Malyn will provide insights on the specific needs of classical musicians and strategies to expand their global reach.

Additionally, Toni Malyn will also be present at the Speed Meetings round, taking place on Thursday, November 7 at 12:00 pm as part of Fira B!. This activity offers a unique opportunity for attendees to make individual connections with professionals from various sectors, and we’d be delighted for you to stop by and say hello. What’s more, we’re offering a free single distribution if you join us for a coffee.

Within the same framework, Saúl Cabrera, our Head of Artist Relations, will moderate the session titled “To Thrive or Survive: Professionalization Strategies for the Independent Music Sector,” scheduled for Friday, November 8, 2024, at 10:00 am. This panel will bring together industry experts such as German Ormaechea from Fep Producciones, Socorro Collado, President of ES_Música, Lida Arbona from Runaway Records, Maria Pacheco from Nuevos Medios, and Àngels Pujol from Manangelment. Throughout the session, panelists will explore the challenges and opportunities for professionalization in independent music, examining the complexities of the distribution chain, from creation to promotion, and its impact on career development in the digital age.

Participation in Fira B! highlights EmuBands’ commitment, alongside other key players, to building a more inclusive and dynamic industry for classical music artists. Dialogue among labels, distributors, and specialized platforms such as Qobuz is essential to ensure a digitally accessible future for this musical genre.
