What is Priority Processing?
Priority Processing is an optional service designed to get your release reviewed by EmuBands as quickly as possible.
When you purchase Priority Processing, your release is flagged for immediate attention by our content team. Once your release has been submitted with all required metadata, audio and artwork, it will then either be accepted for distribution or, if any changes are required, we’ll be in touch by e-mail within two hours.
Same-day Priority Processing applies to releases submitted with all required metadata, audio and artwork between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. UK time, Monday to Friday. Releases submitted for Priority Processing outside these hours will be placed at the front of the processing queue on the next working day.
What does Priority Processing guarantee?
Priority Processing guarantees an expedited review of your release.
If you purchase Priority Processing and submit your release, including all required metadata, audio and artwork, between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. UK time, Monday to Friday, your release will be reviewed within two hours.
Following the review, your release will either:
- be accepted for distribution; or
- if any changes are required, we’ll be in touch by e-mail explaining any changes that are required before it can be accepted.
If Priority Processing is purchased outside these hours, your release will be placed at the front of the processing queue on the next working day.
Does Priority Processing guarantee that my release will be accepted?
No. Priority Processing guarantees the speed of the review, not that your release will pass the review.
All releases must meet the usual content, metadata, audio, artwork and DSP requirements. If we identify anything that needs to be changed, we’ll send you an email explaining what needs your attention.
Does Priority Processing mean my release will be live on music services within two hours?
No. The two-hour timeframe applies to our review of your release, not to processing or publication by music services.
Once your release has been accepted for distribution, it will be delivered to your selected services the same day. Each service has its own processing times, which are outside of our control.
What happens if my release requires changes?
If, during our review, we spot anything that needs to be updated, we’ll send you an e-mail explaining what needs to be changed.
If the change relates to your metadata, you can simply reply to the email with the correct information and we will update it for you.
If you need to replace your artwork or audio files, log in to your EmuBands dashboard and upload the new files. Once uploaded, simply reply to the email to let us know it’s done.
Once the required changes have been made and/or replacement files uploaded, we’ll then continue reviewing your release so it can be accepted for distribution.
When should I use Priority Processing?
Priority Processing is useful when you need your release reviewed as quickly as possible, for example, if you’re working to a tight release schedule or want to identify and resolve any potential content issues quickly.
Priority Processing can speed up the EmuBands review process, but we still recommend submitting your release as far in advance of your intended release date as possible, particularly if you have promotional activity planned around your release.
Does Priority Processing speed up processing by Spotify, Apple Music or other services?
No. Priority Processing only applies to EmuBands’ internal review process.
We cannot guarantee how quickly Spotify, Apple Music or any other music service will ingest, process or publish your release after it has been delivered.
Can Priority Processing guarantee my chosen release date?
No. Priority Processing speeds up the review stage, but it does not guarantee that your release will go live on a particular date.

What happens if I purchase Priority Processing outside the guaranteed processing hours?
Same-day Priority Processing is guaranteed when it is purchased and your release is confirmed and submitted with all required metadata, audio and artwork between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. UK time, Monday to Friday.
If you purchase Priority Processing outside these hours, your release will be placed at the front of the processing queue on the next working day.
How much does Priority Processing cost?
The cost depends on the type of release:
- Single: £20
- Bundle: £30
- Large Bundle: £35
The Priority Processing fee is charged in addition to the usual cost of your release and any other extras you select.
