How Do I Use My Music on TikTok?

To avoid your content being muted or taken down on TikTok, we recommend keeping the music duration in your videos to under 60 seconds.

This 60 second limit is due to TikTok’s licensing restrictions. The platform is licensed to use copyrighted music for short form content, and using longer sections of a track may result in your video being muted or removed.

How Do I Get My Music on TikTok?

It’s easy to get your music on TikTok through EmuBands. Simply select “TikTok” in the list of stores when you’re adding your release to our system. If you’ve already added your releases to our system, read here: How Do I Opt-in to More Stores and What Does It Cost?.

What’s the best way to use my music on TikTok?

The best way to use your music on TikTok is to add your song directly from TikTok’s sound library when creating your video. This ensures the track is properly licensed and reduces the risk of your content being flagged.

Why can’t I find my music on a business account?

EmuBands, along with other artist distributors, does not currently deliver music to TikTok’s Commercial Music Library (CML).

The CML is a separate version of TikTok’s sound library that contains music licensed specifically for commercial use. If you or someone else is using a business or commercial TikTok account, your recordings will not be available to use in their videos.

Can I whitelist a track for commercial use?

If you are a Pro or Premium user and require whitelisting of a track for a business to use it, please get in touch with our support team and we will be happy to help.
